I was very excited to meet Katy.  She brought some very good insight on the life of an author.  I thoroughly enjoyed listening to her and reading her poems.  I thought the story about her son was very touching.  John's Shelf is an amazing idea and very impressive.  I am so happy I got the chance to listen to a real live author.  It was definately a memorable experience.
